Below are documents and forms relating to renovations, remodeling, and repairs of apartments at Makaha Valley Towers.
Before you construct or install any alterations, additions or repairs in or to your apartment, you must complete and return to the Association office the Application for Approval of Modifications, or Application for Approval of Repairs, whichever is appropriate, along with the information and/or documents requested in the forms. After the Board receives your completed and signed application, the Board will advise you if the proposed renovations or repairs are approved or whether additional information is needed or other requirements apply. Depending upon the circumstances, the proposed work may also require, among other things, a building permit, plans stamped by a design professional, and/or an application fee of $523.56 to cover the application review and/or inspection by a licensed architect retained by the Association.
"Renovation Procedures FAQ" provides answers to frequently asked questions about renovations of apartments. To avoid delays, please read the fact sheet carefully before you begin planning for a renovation.
The other documents listed below are memoranda from the Board to owners and fact sheets on apartment renovations published by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, State of Hawaii.
